Mardi Gras Dinner Benefits Others

Thank you to everyone who so generously supported the Mardi Gras Dinner at St. Paul’s UMC through meal preparation, serving, love offering and other ways. Your generous effort raised more than $1,000 to support the Children & Youth Ministries at St. Paul’s.
The youth leadership has chosen to focus their mission efforts locally and give half of the proceeds of this event back to St. Paul’s in appreciation for their ongoing support of the ministries.
They chose to give the other half of the proceeds to the St. Paul’s Christian School Scholarship Fund to assist families who wish to bring their children to this award winning learning experience.
The Children & Youth Ministries, including the families of the participants, provide mission support locally to the Interfaith Emergency Service meal provisions supporting 25% of the total commitment from St. Paul’s.
The youth have also served in missions nationally supporting those experiencing homelessness in Georgia and assisting with rebuilding hurricane damaged homes in Alabama.
They have even taken their mission service to an international level through sponsorship of a young boy in southern Mexico through Compassion International.
We are blessed to have such caring participants and families in the Children & Youth Ministries at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
